The business intends to enable deliveries gradually, beginning in Bengaluru.
Simple Energy, a clean energy and electric vehicle startup, has started shipping its Super EV, the Simple One. The organization intends to begin facilitating deliveries gradually in Bengaluru.
Simple One, the company’s first electric vehicle, made its official debut on May 23 and is available for Rs. 1,45,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). More than one million reservations have been made for the car.
According to a press release from the company, this two-wheeler will completely change how people commute and transform urban mobility.
“We are all proud of the hard work and dedication of our team in creating a holistic product that is both sustainable and an efficient transportation option for our customers,” Simple Energy’s founder and CEO, Suhas Rajkumar, said in a statement on the occasion.
With a 212 km range, Simple One is the longest-range E2W available in India. It has an inbuilt electric motor that accelerates things quickly. The car also comes with cutting-edge safety features and clever connectivity capabilities.
In its segment, Simple One is the fastest E2W as well, reaching 0–40 km/h in 2.77 seconds. It is also the first e-scooter with a thermal management system, which was created in partnership with IIT-Indore and helps prevent thermal runaways.
In order to guarantee prompt delivery and effective after-sales support, the company has established a broad distribution network and is collaborating closely with authorized dealers. Additionally, the company intends to use a network of 160–180 retail locations to extend its retail operations to 40–50 cities.
The Bengaluru-based startup opened Simple Vision 1.0, a new manufacturing facility with an installed yearly capacity of about 10 lakh units, in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu, at the beginning of this year.
