The price of the brand-new 2023 Honda Activa H-Smart, ex-showroom, in India is Rs 80,537. With a segment-first smart key, it adds a slew of features to compete with the likes of the TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro Edge, etc.
Introduction
Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, introduced the Activa New Model 2023, noting that the model “had re-activated the scooter market and has remained one of the top selling two-wheelers for more than a decade now.” It has gone through several iterations to meet the constantly shifting expectations of our customers, and today we introduce the new OBD2 compliant Activa 2023 with a host of industry-first features that give customers more value.

The new, more sophisticated, and smarter Honda Activa 2023 features the widely acclaimed Honda smart key. The following features are included in the Honda Smart Key System: Customers can use smart find to locate the vehicle, and all four winkers will blink twice to indicate where the scooter is.
A smart key system, a more recent technological advancement, enables locking and unlocking a vehicle without the need for a physical key.
Smart start allows the rider to smoothly start the vehicle by turning the Loc Mod knob to the ignition position and pressing the start button without even removing the smart key if it is within 2 meters of the vehicle. The Mapped Smart ECU in the Honda Activa 2023 smart safe serves as a security measure by electronically comparing (ID) the ECU and SMART Key, thereby preventing vehicle theft.
Engine Start/Stop Switch: This two-way switch has the ability to start the engine when depressed downward and to stop it when depressed upward.
Additionally, it has a Lock Mod (5-in-1 lock) that guarantees maximum comfort and dependability for the rider and a special Double Lid Fuel Opening System that allows access to the 18L under-seat storage space. On unpleasant and bad roads, a long wheelbase guarantees a better ride with good stability and balance.
The promise of dependability and durability is fulfilled by the full metal body. The Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension make every ride on the Activa 2023 comfortable and convenient. The 110cc PGM-FI engine from Honda, which is OBD2 compliant and powered by Enhanced Smart Power (eSP), is at the heart of the Activa 2023. The Honda ACG starter, programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI), tumble flow, and friction reduction are all combined to create eSP. A convenient and worry-free ride is made possible by the Side Stand with Engine Inhibitor, which prevents engine start-up while the side stand is in use.

What’s new in the 2023 Honda Activa H-Smart?
The Honda Activa’s top-of-the-line H-Smart variant comes with alloy wheels, side stand warning with engine inhibitor, etc. The new smart key, however, is the main draw. Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start, and Smart Safe functions are all included in Honda’s new smart key system. The immobilizer system on this smart key also stops an unregistered key from starting the engine.
Honda Activa H-Smart 2023: Details
The 109.51cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that powers the 2023 Honda Activa lineup now produces 7.73 bhp as opposed to the 7.68 bhp it did in the previous model. However, the torque stays the same at 8.9 Nm, and the engine is paired with a CVT. It’s important to note that the Activa 6G is HMSI’s first two-wheeler that complies with OBD2 well in advance of the April 2023 deadline.
