Volkswagen India has democratized the Performance Line by making the GT badge available to customers. On the top-of-the-line Virtus GT Plus, which is powered by the 1.5-liter TSI EVO engine, Volkswagen India has added the highly desired manual transmission.
The company also unveiled the GT Plus MT and GT DSG, two new Volkswagen Taigun models.
- The Virtus and Taigun have introduced a new exterior body color called “Lava Blue” in all of their variants.

Also sporting the Carbon Steel Grey “Matte” finish are the Taigun GT Plus MT and Taigun GT Plus DSG.
Also, the Volkswagen Virtus received a 5-star rating in Global NCAP’s updated crash tests, making it one of the first sedan models in India to receive five stars for the protection of both adult and child occupants.
