One year of classroom instruction will be followed by two years of on-the-job training (OJT) at a Maruti Suzuki dealership.
Maruti Suzuki India has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with IES University, Bhopal, as part of its ongoing efforts to offer skill training in automotive retail. Maruti Suzuki and IES have reached an agreement for the provision of a three-year BBA course in retail management that is comprehensive and industry-focused.
To ensure thorough learning, the program will consist of one year of classroom instruction followed by two years of On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Maruti Suzuki dealerships. Together, the company and the institute created the course curriculum, which complies with UGC regulations and is in line with the demands of the Indian auto industry.
Over the course of their two-year on-the-job training at Maruti Suzuki dealerships in Bhopal, students will get the chance to improve their skills in a real-world work setting. The company will give students a stipend as part of its “Earn While You Learn” model. The program also makes an effort to assist qualified candidates with placement.
“Maruti Suzuki has undertaken a set of well-established skill development programmes in alignment with the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ mission,” stated Rahul Bharti, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India, in a press statement. In addition to adopting 22 ITIs and collaborating with 13 Indian universities, we have established three JIMs. Our mission is to develop a workforce that is prepared for the industry by offering top-notch training that will enhance students’ abilities and increase their employability.
The academic year 2023–2024 will mark the start of the course.
