The improvements, which are made to the Jawa and Yezdi models, are intended to make the motorcycles more refined and smoother while preserving their exhilarating performance.
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has updated and redesigned their motorcycle lineup, adding significant technological improvements. Along with the modifications, the motorcycles also meet the BS-VI Phase 2 (OBD2) emission standards.
Key engine parts have been fine-tuned for improved NVH levels on the Jawa range, which includes the 42 sports stripe, 42 Bobber, and Perak. For better rideability and performance while limiting emissions, the engine has also been remapped and has larger exhaust ports and a throttle body.
For a lighter clutch feel and more seamless operation, the new Jawa 42 has an Assist & Slip clutch. Additionally, a redesigned muffler is added for a better exhaust note. The bike now has an updated digital speedometer and hazard lights as standard features.
Similar updates for improved NVH and rideability are also given to the Yezdi range, which includes the Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure models. A larger rear sprocket on all three models further improves the low-end performance. For an improved exhaust note, the motorcycles also receive redesigned mufflers.
The new Jawa & Yezdi range of motorcycles, which challenges the notion that vintage motorcycles aren’t capable of fast riding, promises exceptional levels of refinement and performance while adhering to their core values of thrill and excitement.
Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, made the announcement, saying, “We bundled a host of enhancements, some based on rider feedback, across our range of motorcycles, even though the shift to OBD2 regulations was imminent.” They are a very compelling option and a great value given the slight price increase.
